What SMOC is saying about the new healthcare reform . . . "This is another historical milestone, along with President Obama being in office. I am very excited about the expanded coverage for children. Many of the children in our community have pre-existing conditions, i.e. asthma, and other chronic illnesses. The extension for covering those children is huge." -KM *** "Change has come to America! My most favorite part is that the pre-existing health care excuse used by the insurance companies are gone for now. So it appears that although I am for the health care, I am not really sure its full impact. Let's be prepared for the loopholes." -MB *** "As a single working black mother I must first say, Thank you President Obama! I voted for President Obama and I truly believe in him and his desire to make America a better place to live for all people, not just the rich. The Health Reform Bill is a yes for me, and I believe it is right for America! Thank you Mr. President!" -AM *** "Congrats to President Obama for holding stedfast to his campaign promise. I admire his tenacity and by him not allowing others to waiver his decision to move forward with a health care plan for all to access. A reform long overdue." -SC View Upcoming Event
